Chuck Missler graduated into Glory

In Loving Memory of Chuck Missler

It wasn't too long ago that the Church said goodbye to R.C. Sproul and now we have to say goodbye to Chuck Missler.  This is a brief bio from the khouse.org website:

Dr. Missler gained international recognition as a Bible scholar, author and teacher. Through an informal affiliation with Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, California, Chuck became known for his insight into the integration of Scripture with science, history and prophecy. Over more than forty years, literally millions of Dr. Missler’s teachings have been distributed and enjoyed. From cassette tapes to MP3 audio down loads, from VCR tapes to YouTube videos, the message of “The Grand Adventure” has been enjoyed by many.

I can honestly say that there is probably not another Bible teacher that has influenced my thinking than Chuck Missler. I was one of those that spent hundreds and hundreds of hours listening to his cassette tapes. I have still have many of them!  Apart from an amazing secular career, his spiritual life involved several tragedies (two of his sons died prior to him) and he recently lost his wife.  Yet in the midst of all these, he remained faithful to his calling and also to his Lord.

His teachings and integration of science, history, and Scripture were a true blessing and few have ever been as gifted as him in bringing these topics into mainstream Christianity and keeping them interesting.  May God richly bless Him as we miss him here on earth.
