JFK assassination? 1947 Roswell "alien" crash? Federal reserve act of 1913 not really being passed? New world order? Was 9/11/2001 an inside job by the government?
These are just some of the so called conspiracy theories that are commonly mocked or joked about officially by the powers that be. I am not giving an opinion specifically on the truth of any those conspiracy theories, but what we do know that is that Satan is the ruler of this world (John 12:31; 14:30: 16:11), and "We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one" (1 John 5:19).
As Christians we are called to be discerning and wise as serpents (Matt 10:16). This means that we need to be cautious and wary of what the world (and Satan, its ruler) promotes through the main stream media. Is there a conspiracy to control the thoughts and perspectives of people?
YES! If you are a Bible believing Christian, we must acknowledge unashamedly that Satan absolutely is the master conspirator. Jesus called him the ruler of this world and Father of lies.
"You people are from your father the devil, and you want to do what your father desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies" (John 8:44).
Think about this for a moment. Jesus said that there is NO TRUTH in Satan. I find that is an amazing statement. This is why in Matthew 4 and Luke 4 when Jesus is tempted by Satan, Jesus didn't engage in any conversation except to quote God's Word.
